CHILD LABOR

Child labor is the worst form of violation of human rights. It is a serious problem in the developing countries. Bangladesh has a staggering number of child laborers. This practice of child labor in our country shows the aggravated face of poverty. They are deprived of the basic human rights like food, cloth, education, medical facilities, etc. When they are supposed to go to school carrying school bags on their shoulder they are carrying the loads of the works. They work at various workplaces like hostels, tea stalls, engineering workshops, etc. Some also work as street hawkers and domestic helps. They are exploited and ill-treated. Their employers deprive them of their due payments. Some even are paid under rates. They work from morning till night in hazardous environment, but are deprived of their employers' love and sympathy. They cannot manage to get nutritious food and sufficient cloth. As a result they suffer from malnutrition and get affected with a number of diseases. They lead inhuman life. The government should come forward to protecting their rights. They should rehabilitate them. At the same time the govt. should make laws against child labor that no children below the age of fourteen should be employed for any form of labor by the private employers. Thus taking the above steps we can get our society rid of this evil practice.
