Load-shedding is a common affair to the people of under developing countries. Load-shedding means the discontinuation in the supply of electricity. It occurs when the supply of power is less than the demand. It also occurs for the imbalanced distribution of electricity. Nowadays load-shedding has become a fatal problem day to day life. Houses, mills, factories, shops and hospitals fall victims to load-shedding. Mills and factories remain unmoving. Workers become idle. Industrial production declines. Students suffer in their studies. The housewives keep waiting in the kitchen. The audience in the cinema halls spend many weary hours with panting hearts. People return home after finishing their day's work only to enter into a dark den. The food kept in the refrigerators gets rotten. The commodities preserved in cold storage get spoiled. Thus load-shedding creates various hazards in our social and economic life. Our entire life becomes to a standstill owing to load-shedding. If we cannot stop load-shedding, we will lag behind in all respects. So, the authority should take proper steps to remove this dire problem.
